Day Three Quote:

“God is fully aware that you and I are not perfect. Let me add: God is also fully aware that the people you think are perfect are not. And yet we spend so much time and energy comparing ourselves to others—usually comparing our weaknesses to their strengths. This drives us to create expectations for ourselves that are impossible to meet. As a result, we never celebrate our good efforts because they seem to be less than what someone else does.”

Day two Quote: Forget-me-not

“I would like to use this little flower as a metaphor. The five petals of the little forget-me-not flower prompt me to consider five things we would be wise never to forget….first, forget not to be patient with yourself…second, forget not the difference between a good sacrifice and a foolish sacrifice…third, forget not to be happy now…fourth, forget not the why of the gospel…fifth, forget not that the Lord loves you.”

“ There is something inspiring and sublime about the little forget-me-not flower. A symbol of the little things that make your life joyful and sweet. Quote – Living in Harmony with the World

“The downfall of the attempts of governments and leaders to unite mankind is found in this- in the wrong message that we should see everyone as the same. This is the root of the failure of harmony. Because the truth is, we should not all see everyone as the same! We are not the same! We are made of different colours and we have different cultures. We are all different! But the key to this door is to look at these differences, respect these differences, learn from and about these differences, and grow in and with these differences. We are all different. We are not the same. But that’s beautiful. And that’s okay. In the quest for unity and peace, we cannot blind ourselves and expect to be all the same. Because in this, we all have an underlying belief that everyone should be the same as us at some point. We are not on a journey to become the same or to be the same. But we are on a journey to see that in all of our differences, that is what makes us beautiful as a human race, and if we are ever to grow, we ought to learn and always learn some more.”

#All New Writer’s Quote Challenge/7 – I Believe in Laughter

The Writer’s Quote Challenge is a weekly event. Each Thursday, the hostess(es) Bernadette & Jacqueline will post a weekly prompt.

Either make up your own sayings or use a quote from a famous author that you find gives you inspiration.

Here is Bernadette’s offering for this week just in time for Christmas:

“Though I’ve grown old, the bell still rings for me as it does for all who truly believe.”  Christ Van Allsburg, The Polar Express.

I believe there is good in the world, we just need to stop reading about all the bad things and stay positive.

Here’s my Quote.

I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles. Audrey Hepburn

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Peace, Health and Blessings to you all

#All New Writer’s Quote Challenge/5 – Thinking

The Writer’s Quote Challenge is a weekly event. Each Thursday, the hostess(es) Bernadette & Jacqueline will post a weekly prompt.

Either make up your own sayings or use a quote from a famous author that you find gives you inspiration.

Here is Bernadette’s offering for this week:

I can’t think about that right now. If I do, I’ll go crazy. I’ll think about that tomorrow.”

— Gone with the Wind – Margaret Mitchell.

Here is my quote about “Thinking”.

“We are addicted to our thoughts. We cannot change anything if we cannot change our thinking.”

Santosh Kalwar, Quote Me Everyday

I think it is a nice quote to consider after reading Bernadette’s offering for this week.

I do think we are addicted by our thought’s, if we think we can’t do it, we will not try to do it, but if we had tried we might have found out how easy it was to do.

I know in my situation if I see something that needs doing, I don’t even think about it, I just do it, I find there’s not much I can not do.

It’s all in the mind.

How do you feel about it?

Please comment and tell some of the things you have done which you thought you would never do.

Surprise us.

Either make up your own sayings or use a quote from a famous author that you find gives you inspiration and post it on Jacqueline’s blog.

Jacqueline Quote for the week

Be the peace that you seek – Fil Tribble

For the peace that I seek, I came across this quote which asked questions which may help me to have inner peace.

Did I offer peace today?

Did I bring a smile to someone’s face?

Did I say words of healing?

Did I let go of my anger and resentment?

Did I forgive?

Did I love?

These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come. – Henri Nouwen

Can I truthfully answer the questions in that Quote?

I hope I did offer peace to someone even if it was only a comment on someone’s blog.

Don’t know if I brought a smile to someone’s face today I hope so, many faces have brought a smile to my face today – I’m happy.

Now words of healing, I think I will have to work on that one.

Didn’t have to let go of any anger or resentment as I never had any to let go.

Did I forgive? That’s an interesting question, I would have to think on that one as I don’t think I have anything to forgive, but someone might say I have.

I have lot’s of love to share, sending hugs to all my readers, “Love you all”.

Now I have answered these questions, it would be nice if you would comment,  about how your day brought PEACE to you.

#The Writer’s Quote Challenge-3

The Writer’s Quote Challenge is a weekly event. Each Thursday, the hostess(es) Bernadette & Jacqueline will post a weekly prompt.

Either make up your own sayings or use a quote from a famous author that you find gives you inspiration.

“Never respond to an angry person with a fiery comeback, even if he deserves it…Don’t allow his anger to become your anger.”

Bohdi Sanders

I have learnt the hard way with this one and it was a family member, which is still breaking my heart ten months later.

Now Christmas is approaching very fast, I would love to see my two youngest grand children, but I’m forbidden to ever approach them again.

I’m hoping that by writing this it will give me the strength I need to cope with this Christmas without my two priceless  grand children.

I must not look back, at the aftermath of past disappointments, sorrows, and pain, for blessed, is those that move on.

Blessings to all my readers.
