#NaPoWriMo or #GloPoWriMo – Day 12 – Autumn Pantoum Poetry
Thank you Suzanne Olivante for the NaPoWriMo Photo Daily Poetry Prompt
Autumn a Season of Golden Hues
autumn baptizes the ground with crisp golden leaves
the air is fresh, chilling and wild with moving leaves
a season of bright golden reds and yellow hues
a few weeks of exciting scenes of color enrichment
the air is fresh, chilling and wild with moving leaves
every leaf speaks as it flutters gently from its branch
a few weeks of exciting scenes of color enrichment
enriching the cool ground for regrowth in the spring
every leaf speaks as it flutters gently from its branch
all the smell of decaying leaves and slippery paths
enriching the cool ground for regrowth in the spring
provides nature with the power of recycling energy
all the smell of decaying leaves and slippery paths
a season of bright golden reds and yellow hues
provides nature with the power of recycling energy
autumn baptizes the ground with crisp golden leaves
How to write Pantoum Poetry:
Line 5 (repeat of line 2)
Line 6
Line 7 (repeat of line 4)
Continue with as many stanzas as you wish, but the ending stanza, then repeats the second and fourth lines of the previous stanza (as its first and third lines), and also repeats the third line of the first stanza, as its second line, and the first line of the first stanza as its fourth. So the first line of the poem is also the last.
Last stanza:
Line 2 of the previous stanza
Line 3 of the first stanza
Line 4 of the previous stanza
Line 1 of the first stanza.
Great pantoum Elsie, worked very well with the prompt photo.

Pretty poem and one I enjoyed reading very much! I do not have seasons here and really miss what you see. Thanks for the share Elsie! 🙂

Actually, this year is not the same, we do usually have seasons, but this year we have come from summer straight into winter and the trees must be confused as they haven’t lost their leaves yet. Something strange is going on, the seasons have changed, last year summer 2017 we had no summer just spring to autumn.

You are right in that weather has changed due to global warming that is affecting all over the world. I hope Gaia or mother earth survives as this is not good for our future and the future of our children as they say!
