B is for Bumble Bee the most common type of bee found around the world.

For many years I thought that Bumblebees did not sting, as I had picked up many off the windows and put them out the door, but one day I did get a sting and I can tell you it wasn’t pleasant, it took a week for the swelling to leave my hand and did it itch.

I have discovered that not every bumble bees sting, in fact, the male bubble bee (known as a drone) do not have a sting at all, only the female, it has it on its tail.

One thing I know that I will never pick up a bubble bee ever again. That’s the safest way.
