Sea Maidens Dream

Nightmares keep us dreaming
Over abundance of falling rain
Flows into sleepless nights
Rising waters make an illusion

Sailing boat arriving on the beam
Bringing dreams alive as you call
Hoping someone with reach you
Before your shadow disappears

Waving out awakens the promise
of a new day to survive my stress
Sea maidens are floating past me
in a hurry to beat the falling rocks

Perching on a ledge surrounded
by waves as high as the moon
My, why am I still standing here
I should be floating out to sea

Gentle tap on my right shoulder
Stirs my sleeping tormented body
Why are you calling out my love
my husband asks me tenderly
