This challenge is based on Kenny Chesney’s song Back Where I Come From.  There are other home-and hometown-related questions to round out the 30 days of posts.

September 2017 – Day 21

Were there any flowers growing in your yard back home? What kind? Were you or your parent’s good gardeners?.

We did have flowers, mostly perennials, lilies, dahlias, carnations, chrysanthemums, and a beautiful wisteria which I always enjoyed in the spring, but it was another story when autumn came and we had the prune and clean up the mess.

My father was the gardener, he had a vegetable garden every year we never needed to buy vegetables, our garden had everything even veggies in the winter.
