Write a poem in under 20 lines inspired by a myth, legend or fairy tale.

Lipogram – Word Play with Nursery Rhymes using the Letter 

Lipo means “lacking; without,” and gram comes from gramma, meaning “letter”.

Lipogram refers to any text composed of words which lack a particular letter.

Little Jack Horner – The original Nursery Rhyme.

Little Jack Horner

Sat in the corner,

Eating a Christmas pie;

He put in his thumb,

And pulled out a plum,

And said ‘What a good boy am I.

My Version of Little Jack Horner without using any “O’s,”

Little Jack Trump-per

Sat in the bean bag,

Eating a Christmas pie;

He put in his thumb,

And exerted a plum,

And said, “What a nice chap I’m.”

This Version is a new one

Little Jack Horner without using any “E’s”.

Tiny Jack Horna

sat on a small stool

nibbling a Christmas tart

put in his thumb

and withdraw a plum

And said, ”what a good boy I am”.
