Carpe Diem #1045  Jane Reichhold’s Legacy September 6th – Prompt – Departing Spring

This month at Carpe Diem all the prompts are from Jane’s Saijiki “A Dictionary of Haiku”.

In every episode, Chèvrefeuille will share haiku by Jane (and sometimes tanka) to inspire us.

All my writing for Jane Reichhold Legacy will be tanka poetry, writing tanka using one word as a prompt, I intend to do it in a way to honor Jane, hope it works, as I’m still learning.

September 6th, 2016 prompt is “Departing Spring”.

smell ripening fruit

plums on trees finished growing

ready for eating

with the departing of spring

summer joys always follow

    • Thanks, for commenting. Fresh fruit is very nice especially just picked from the tree, it always seems to taste different when you eat it under the tree that you just picked it from. Hope you are having a great week.
