Writer’s Quote Wednesday Writing Challenge – Beauty

Quote for Beauty

A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms. Author – Unknown

Beauty is Everywhere

Real beauty is found everywhere.

Flowers are blooming every day

No one sheds a tear the day a flower disappears

Here today, gone tomorrow.

Insects visit the flowers

Leave with their taste buds filled with nectar

Just to return another day

When the next bud blooms again.

Humans cut the flower to add to a vase

No one sheds a tear

When the beauty of the bloom disappears

Here today, gone tomorrow.

If a human with real beauty

Didn’t bloom at all

Would you shed a tear

For sure you would.

Real beauty is found everywhere

Let’s make a point to showing how we care

When that poor flower no longer blooms

Give it a blessing for making your day blossom with beauty.

  1. A thought-inspiring poem. An un-beautiful human is certainly a tragedy and a waste of creation. Good thing we all have a chance to change each new day. Flowers, they bloom. There are no un-beautiful flowers. Their beauty lies in the purpose they were made for: to colour and inspire; to pollinate the cycle of life. If we do what we were put here to do; i.e. to serve each other, there’d be no ugliness in this world. But then, there’s no perfect world either; and that’s why we need symbols of beauty with purpose.

  2. Hello and thanks for participating in the CBF. I’m Cheryl, one of the cohosts for the event. If you ever visit my blog you will see that we are in complete agreement. Such beauty all around us, even in death a flower shows its lovely face proudly. We as humans need to consider this as we age and try to cling to what is past rather than shining as we are. Thank you for a lovely post.

    • Very true, it would help the world a lot if we did, you never see a flower attacking another plant, nature certainly doesn’t complete for beauty, it’s all nature.
