Intro to Poetry – Day Two – Face

Most humans like looking at their face in the mirror

A few shutter even when their beauty is clearer

What would you do it you were a camel

A face that looks like bramble

Split lip that quivers with a drawn up nose that can close

Eyes that don’t get sand in even when there’s a storm

Then there’s the hair around the face

Humans love to adore their hair

What would that poor camel do

If he should look into a mirror

Just a well there’s no mirror to see its plight

A face that can serve humans day and night without a light.
