Each week,  Rochelle Wisoff-Fields hosts Friday Fictioneers where we’re challenged to write a piece of flash fiction in 100 words, more or less, based on the picture above.

Taking a Nap

Thomas was having a quiet nap on the stretcher in the corner of the room, when he heard something shuffling around the room, he wasn’t sure if it was in his dreams or something else, he opened his eyes and saw a figure with a queer head standing in the corner of the room.

He nearly let out a scream then grab his mouth, to stop it, he covered in head with the blanket too frighten to move.

After a few seconds, he heard some queer noises, taking a peek from under the blanket only to see his brother pulling the hood of his head.

He never let on to his brother that he had given him a fright after all that would be a sissy.
