Day Six, of Blogging University – Writing Everyday Inspiration – Space to Write

Where do you write? Do you prefer blogging on your laptop in a coffee shop? Are you productive in a quiet room, door closed, away from civilization?

I write on a Desktop Computer, as you can see by the photo above it’s a Mac, I’ve had it for four years now and wouldn’t be without it, I have everything I need right in front of me.

I did have a laptop, it was windows vista never had much luck with it, gave it away, that was one of the reason I when with Apple.

My Mac has a magic mouse and a small keyboard which I type with one finger as I have bad fingers, that sometimes don’t point to the key I which to press, I can type fast.

I write in the lounge while my husband is watching the TV, even with the volume turned up quite loud, as once I get writing I can cut out all sound, even if I’m by myself and listening to the music on the radio I can cut everything else out.

Sometimes my husband can walk out behind me on the carpet and he gives me a fright as I never heard him, so busy in my little world of writing.

This part of Day six is actually giving me a headache trying to work it out.

We’ll occasionally ask you to do a task in preparation for a future assignment. At the end of this post, direct your readers to your contact page, through which they can send you suggestions on what to write for an upcoming post. If you don’t have a contact page, this is your opportunity to create one! Publish a new page with a contact form, then add this page to your menu. (Alternatively, you can insert a form at the bottom of the post itself, or create a multiple choice poll to gather ideas.)

I have added a contact form to my post, not sure I have done it right.

Can someone help me please in the comments below?

Thanks in advance

  1. I would love to hear how living in New Zealand is different from living somewhere else. Something about the variety of cultures, insects, animals, customs that might be different. I have always wanted to learn more about life in New Zealand.

    • So that is why at the end of the post it say’s ““Readers, what would you like me to write about in the future?” You can then allow people to leave suggestions and ideas in your post’s comments.

Thanks for replying, I’m getting the idea now.
I certainly will write more about New Zealand.
      Thanks for replying, greatly appreciated.

  2. I may be wrong, but I think the contact forms go on your pages not your blog posts. So like your about me page. I’m on the phone app so maybe it’s different on the computer but right now I can’t submit to that form it just looks like part of your post. I think it’s one of the widgets when you go to customize/edit the page.

    • You are not wrong, contact forms go on your blog as a page, I think you can add them on a post also, but I don’t think I have set it up right, you have just proved it as it doesn’t work.
I wasn’t really wanting it as a page, will go back to the assignment and see what can be done.
Thanks for taking the time to comment at least I now know doesn’t work.
      Kind thoughts.
